I've always found it amazing with the attention that All Souls Day receives each year. During this time, many Catholics take the time to remember their deceased family and friends. The All souls Day Mass is overflowing with people who come together to pray for the poor souls in Purgatory. Then, on the next day, its business as usual and the dead are forgotten for another year. |

Lent is typically seen as a time for Catholics to give up something they enjoy for 40 days. You can read many articles on the internet about how people are suffering because they’re giving up chocolate or something along those lines. The attitude is, “oh no, another 40 days of pain because I have to make a sacrifice”. |
