After a long absence, Holy Souls Newsletter is back. We'll be publishing regularly as articles and devotions are created.
The newsletter will continue to be free and will hopefully inspire readers to a greater devotion to the Holy Souls and an understanding to what they are going through.
If you have any questions or comments, please e-mail them to newsletter@holysouls.info.

Lent and the Holy Souls
|
Catholics tend to focus on what to give up during Lent, in addition to abstaining from meat on Fridays. One thing to give up during Lent is some of your time, such as 15 minutes to pray a rosary for the Holy Souls.
The prayer doesn't have to be a rosary (while this is the second most powerful prayer after the Mass), it can be any devotion of your choice. The important thing here is to do something for the Holy Souls. Their suffering is continuous and they will repay you a thousand times over for any help you give them.

Gregorian Masses
|
A Gregorian Mass is a powerful way to help a soul in Purgatory. Its a series of Masses over 30 days where, after the last Mass, the soul will be released from Purgatory.
You can read more about this at http://www.holysouls.info/devotions/139-gregorian-masses.
It may be difficult finding a local priest with the time to do 30 consecutive Masses, but a religious order like Franciscan Missions does make the time for this devotion. Their suggested donation is $120 for the 30 Masses which is a small price to pay to release a Holy Soul from Purgatory. They can be reached at:
Franciscan Misssions, Inc. P.O. Box 130 Waterford, WI 53185 Phone: (414) 534-5470 Web Site: www.franciscanmissions.org
Think of a loved one in Purgatory who needs your help and offer Gregorian Masses.
